HAUS Summer School Scholarship recipients receive funding for the International Summer School of German Language and Culture at Heidelberg University. This scholarship is supported entirely by donations from the HAUS community and demonstrates their continued commitment to Heidelberg University and to providing opportunity for U.S. students.

ABOUT THE HAUS SUMMER SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
HAUS is delighted to support two scholarships for the month-long International Summer School of German Language and Culture at Heidelberg University. This course allows you to improve your language skills at Germany’s oldest university with students from all over the world. There are a variety of course levels from which to choose, and they all fit into an annual theme. This year's theme is “Global Dynamics - Challenges and Chances” and it will take place from August 1 - 28, 2024.
We are seeking candidates with a strong academic background who can also fulfill the role of ambassador for HAUS upon their return from their study abroad experience. HAUS Scholarship Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- 18 years or older and enrolled at a U.S. university
- United States residency
Note: Students currently enrolled at Heidelberg University or who are already receiving a scholarship from a different source are not eligible for the HAUS Summer School Scholarship.

The Heidelberg International Ferienkurs was a fantastic experience for me. EXPECTATIONS FOR HAUS SUMMER SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
- Successfully complete the summer school.
- Register with Heidelberg Alumni International (HAI) upon arrival and cooperate with HAI while in Heidelberg.
- Provide a short report on your time in the International Summer School of German Language and Culture at Heidelberg University, including some good-quality photos of yourself participating in the online course and cultural activities.
- Serve as an ambassador for HAUS and Heidelberg University after completing studies in Heidelberg.
